The worst thing about the Poly 800 is that when you pull the plug out, it still makes sound because of the batteries inside.

Runs on batteries = not the sign of a classic analog synth...

I bought a modular synth a few years ago, when what I really wanted was a Minimoog. I found them to be totally different in operation. I finally replaced it with a Voyager this week, yet a part of me wants to buy the VX351 and start turning it into a modular...

I was just checking out an underwater dive report when I saw this, no joke! http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m189/LLKZ16/Vets%20111107/MonAdd111107.jpg Apparently there's a Roland MSQ-700 60 feet underwater off Redondo Beach, CA. One hopes it was broken before it got there... Original post: http:/...

Yeah, it looks like the worst burn is on the back. I'm sure it will look much better than before when it's finished, and the finishing will smooth out the differences anyway. It's not like he messed up the refinish on a '68 Les Paul or anything. "Dude, the tone!!"

Voyagers would be overpriced if no one bought them, but I think they do OK. Mine lands on Monday. You pay a price for nice wood, pots, backlit front panel, semi-discrete, made in USA, etc. I would have settled for an SE-1 if I was more cash strapped, but knowing me I would still want the Voyager and...

Take an old PC and put GigaStudio on it. 8500x more powerful that those used Akais for not much more.

Move. Or buy one and do better.

Seriously, nice first post. Perhaps you can try posting in the 50-page thread on the P'08, or simply take your trolling a*s down the road.

In software, it's hard to beat Replicant, either the sound or the price. http://www.audiodamage.com/effects/product.php?pid=AD013 http://www.audiodamage.com/images/products/screenshot/replicant_SS.gif On the hardware side, I would look at Eventide boxes like the Eclipse. Not cheap, but that's where ...
