The 2600

Post by AnalogKid » Thu Oct 15, 2020 7:18 pm

What do you think of this price gouging? The Korg ARP 2600 originally sold for what, $3,900? Here it is with an asking price of $6,500, with the words "Don't bother trying to lowball or BS." LOL.

Does anyone know the price of the Behringer 2600? I saw this week in a YouTube clip that it is now in production, but the clip didn't give a price.

Supply versus demand.

There are other options: TTSH & Behringer 2600. I'll probably get the latter - all their other synths have been very faithful to the originals.

I'm hardly surprised. Wait until the people who bought those limited edition Moogs flip theirs for 6 figures.

Thank goodness for Behringer and Dotcom.

No buyers after 2 months, though.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

I don't know what's going on lately. People have been listing stuff at incredibly high prices. Maybe its the solitary time at home??? I've been looking to buy some accessories for my equipment. In a couple instances people have been listing things for twice the price, sometimes way more, than they were listed at couple months ago. All is well when the items are selling....but, they aren't. As soon as one does, that becomes the standard, though. It's all silliness. I'm waiting for those prices to come back down.

It's existential panic, more like it -- sell now before it's not worth a penny anymore.

I hadn't thought of that. Seems a bit extreme. Especially with noone biting.

Maybe someone will, eventually.

It's like desperately clutching at straws.

Price confirmed at $599 - I've no idea what that is in real money, but maybe around £/€550.

Much cheaper that I thought it would be. If only I could pre-order one from somewhere. :(

Don't worry, as soon as presales open the Interwebz will crash from all the traffic.
