Bonus points if you tell me where the track is from :)

I have no idea where the track is from. If you have the midi, I would record the original 01/W version of that, so that you can compare it.

It sounds awesome.

Close, but also different. Find MP3 of Korg 01/w direct recorded without any effects (wav to mp3 by audacity/lame with 260kbit/s joint stereo variable bitrate)

I did fiddle with several settings (as I did with on my 01R/W - still comatose btw, but I have one guy with SMD machine who will probably try and fix it for me), most notably filter envelopes (decays and depth) and key follow, plus the effects will always sound a tiny bit different, but I'm immensely satisfied with the result so far.

I believe the biggest difference (for me) is the filter. You have it more open with the filter envelope. Maybe try to close it a little bit more and it should be good.

Remember the Filter of the 01/W is allways active (even at 100% value), as it is also trying to remove the aliasing resulting from the 33khz sample frequency. That might actually be the main difference.

Other than that, the 01/w is a little bit thicker at the bottom end, but that might be also volume which is not the same paired with the filter setting.

Also the VCA ENV is much shorter on the release on the 01/w .. but to be honest your version sounds better in it. I like the smoothness of the 01/w wich mainly comes from the filter already discussed above.

And I fell in love again with my 01/w ..

This is from the Piano Card XPC-03. Combi C67 Tutti 1

And this is a Combi I have created layering Analog Pad with some voice and choir programs ...
