I tried to resist, I really did.

I had the mini key version for a few days, but the LFO/ADSR Re-Trigger problem caused me to send it back. Happy to say that it's been fixed with the module version, although out of the box, the PW sliders are STILL not calibrated correctly. I opened mine up and corrected it with the PW trimmers, so that it's now exactly 50% with the sliders all the way down. I've also enhanced the PPC sensitivity... I'm not breaking my fingers anymore :D

Scored a Korg DW8000 with some dead keys for $60! Plugged in a midi controller and good to go. As soon as I can I am going to buy one or two Behringer BRC2000's to get under the hood the DW8000, my Kawai I and III, and I'd like to give the Volca FM a try with one as well. I happen to really like DW8000 and the Kawai's very much but not a fan of editing patches the way they are set up, hence a knobby midi board.
I have rediscovered my Moog Murf and it is a blast to use with a Memory Man. Can push sounds to the edge of shattering every which direction in a beautiful kind of way. So, New again to me and my favorite sound shaper at the moment.

Coming in the mail will be a Boredbrain Patchulator 8000. Very excited to get weird with it.

Nice! How do you like it?
This sits close to the top of the wishlist for consideration between The Infinite Jets or the Dwarftcraft Grazer or the Red Panda Particle... They all look excellent, hard call.

I bought an Earthquaker Rainbow Machine over the summer and it has been a dissapointment. I think I let myself get turned on by a couple of YouTube videos but I find it lacking. Earthquaker Devices makes very fine gear, I am loathe to speak ill of them in any way, just found the rainbow machine to have some major flaws in my opinion.

Stab Frenzy wrote:Got a Streichfett the other day, it's really nice. Bigger than I was expecting, I'm so used to Euro sized stuff now. Almost pulled the trigger on an Analog Keys that was at a great price but I stopped myself. Ditto a Mirage for a stupidly low price.

Oooooooowwwhhhh!

I want one, too! Are you slaying sick, slippery harmonies now or what?

Picked up a Roland D-110 at the Yokohama Ishibashi for about $38. Gave it a new CR2032 battery and good to go. It’s amazing what these budget synths (or for that matter just about anything) sound like run through modern effects! But man, the manual... Took a while until things clicked.

That’s awesome!

Just got a Streichfett today. Sounds better than my actual string synths. I highly recommend.

Not recent, but late Dec early Jan I got a MIDI keyboard, FL Studio, several freeware VSTs, and a PC.

Bought a project CS-80 for a good price. Currently inoperative and partially disassembled, but it's all there.

Many thanks to knolan for the advice prior to purchase! Took delivery 02/19/2018.

Currently a somewhat love-hate relationship, but I'm not regretting the purchase.
