Yamaha DX7s not having correct Polyphony number

Postby Sandufi » Thu Apr 05, 2018 2:43 pm

Hello guys,

So I recently got a second hand Yamaha DX7s. I started yesterday to play with it but I noticed that I can only play 5 notes at the same time. When I play more notes, the first notes that were pressed stop playing while the new ones are heard. I know that the DX7 is a 16-voice polyphonic synth so I should be able to play up to 16 notes at a time. I have tried different presets with no luck. Maybe theres an option where you can select the number of notes...? Any help/ideas? :?: :?:

Thank you guys!

It isn’t connected to any MIDI cable. Just headphones!
Thanks!

OK guys "problem" solved! Didn't know there was a unison poly mode that was restricting the full voice range!

Thanks for your help anyway!
