Looks like they want to take on Arturia, Behringer and Korg all at once...

Battery or USB power
1/8" MIDI jacks (ugh)

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

It looks like the next logical evolutionary step from in the Volca form factor. It's only $200 but it has a busload more features--for $40 more than a Volca. I would say this continues the trend of democratizing analog synths. And it has a couple interesting features like the variable waveshaping and waveshape modulation that's not only limited to PWM. That said, the sound demo was a little underwhelming. But most impromptu product demos are a little underwhelming. Looks like another interesting and cheap tool.

According to IK Multimedia, the “buttons” are capacitive and not membranes.
