painting minilogue knobs

Postby squish » Wed Jun 27, 2018 4:42 pm

hello! Im new here lol. So i have a minilogue, and i think it looks kinda boring with just silver and black for colors. I've seen some people paint the grooves on the knobs rainbow colors and i really like how it looks and i want to do it now lol. what type of paint should i use that i can remove if i get sick of? should i use acrylics (which i have experience with because im an artist) or is there something else thats better and not expensive. Also, do i need to remove the knobs to paint? if so, how do it do it lol. thanks :) also srry ab the colored words lol they look cool

Yes, it's well better if you want to do a fine and precise work.
You only have to pull vertically the button (carrefully) to remove them.

Another solution is to replace the buttons. My Minilogue:

Those buttons can be found here: https://store.djtechtools.com/products/chroma-caps-knobs-and-faders
The making of my modular... (ok it's in french, but the pictures are easy to understand !)
