I nearly bought that one (!) but found another locally so glad you got hold of this after wanting one for so long.clusterchord wrote:i found mine, a HD+ version, 2 months ago in UK. luck wanted the seller was driving to a vacation spot not far from me, so he dropped it off personally. it has been previously serviced. new display. HD is of course dead, and one floppy too, but it has been replaced with HxC.

To the OP, absolutely fantastic job on the EII, so good to see something restored so well. I still have a backlight and some buttons to fix on mine but otherwise working well with 2X FDD's.
Regards HxC and Emuser, have either of you considered an original Sound Designer/Mac setup? I had HxC in a DPX-1 and found it a PITA paging through all the banks, one by one to get to the one I wanted. Pretty sure Emuser loading is lower than Mac/SD too, about 15 secs compared to 12 secs from Mac.
I currently have a Powerbook 170 connected to my EII with about 300MB HD, large enough to store all my favourite banks. Easy to view on the Mac to see what bank I want before loading. Has that 'vintage' cool look too running Sound Designer.

Give us a shout if/when want some interesting sound banks for your machines.
