New to Roland MC-500 advanced questions

Postby Man-Machine » Sun Sep 16, 2018 4:39 pm

I just got a Roland MC500 sequencer a couple weeks ago and I pretty much got down all the basics but I have a couple questions.

How do you save system settings so I don’t have to redo them when I turn the unit on? I am mostly talking about the midi function settings like transmit system exclusive off, transmit aftertouch off, splitting midi channels in the output one and two, etc. apparently the settings don’t get saved with the song.

It's been a long time since I used mine but I seem to remember that you had to use the Super-MRP software to save the info that you want. I'll have to dig mine out.

Thank you. I'll try to hunt down a SuperMRC disk :)

SuperMRC was the software for the MC-500 MkII. The MRP was designed for performance and so it was used so settings could be saved for ease of use live. Not sure it will be so useful to you though!
