Post by Maxcowe » Sat Jan 05, 2019 7:15 pm

My Juno 6 is keeping a note going when the VCA knob is down to 'gate', the note changes pitch when I play a few notes but as soon i move the VCA up it goes. any ideas? broken voice chip? :?: :?:

I had a similar issue recently, the Juno changed notes or key during a sequence.
I was calibrating it at the time, and fiddling with some of the test functions like Unison play using the Transpose button. You could try putting it into different test modes to check the voices, but they should be ok. (info in the service manual)

Mine also has an old Kenton MIDI I/O and MIDI Clock sync unit in the back of it - I think the Juno CPU can sometimes get overloaded with messages and have a meltdown!

Also depending on your filter settings, the notes can sound quite out of tune.

Does the note stay on all the time when in 'Gate' mode?

Yes when the gate switch is down the note stays on, it changes pitch every so often but when no keys pressedit remains active
