Modern alternative to Arp Omni 2

Post by unknownid » Thu Mar 07, 2019 8:39 pm

Since original Omni 2s are difficult to come by are there any modern hardware alternatives to the Omni 2?

if you're just interested in the Omni's strings sounds, check out the Waldorf Streichfett.

I've got a bunch of Omni 2's, and I make them reliable! If you're interested in the real deal, hit me up on my website.

I've not got any sitting around restored right now, but I have a number of them (8 I believe) that I can restore and make available to people who are seriously interested. Contact me through my site if you are.

The silky-rich sound of the Omni is very hard to emulate, but as far as modern simikar instruments go , as the first paraphonic analog for so many years, the Behringer VC340 could be worth a try out ! ;.)
