Here are disk images for Emulator 1, Fairlight and Emax
I shared these on eiiiforum, but thought it might reach more people here.
These discs are hard to find and they shouldn't be! I especially object to people making money out of these. So with HFE and these disc images will re-awaken your Emulator 1.
It's fun to convert these in EMXP for use in a modern sampler too.
Included in this link is:
Emulator 1 Production set
A user collection of Emulator 1 discs (some duplication with above)
Alan Wilder Depeche Mode Emax discs from a few tours
Fairlight IIx famous user discs

How does one convert these to Kontakt format, even SoundFont? I have Chicken Systems Translator, but apparently it doesn't recognize Fairlight, Emulator I or Emax I format.

Oops, accidentally deleted them while tidying up. I'll let you know when I put them back!
Re: Here are disk images for Emulator 1, Fairlight and Emax
Excuse my ignorance - but what are you offering to download?
and are they usable to non owners of those instruments (specifically are they the original sample libraries for those instruments
) ?

Re: Here are disk images for Emulator 1, Fairlight and Emax
They’re the original discs. There are several ways to convert them if you don’t own the original instrument. EMXP, Arturia CMI V and a few others. You can even take the raw file, put in the right headers and extract PCM data that way.
I might think about sharing my own Kontakt versions but I think it’s important that the original authentic source is shared because there can be issues with getting the settings (tuning, mapping, loop points, modulation) exactly as they were on the original instrument.
Re: Here are disk images for Emulator 1, Fairlight and Emax
really appreciate you sharing any and all - I've just resurrected my old eSynth and put a SCSI2SD in and want to get some sample libraries on it (have EMXP sorted and put a coupel of things I found on so far)
thanks again
thanks again
