Synthesizers that Neon Trees uses

Post by AIR-ick Frangrance » Wed Jul 10, 2019 1:08 am

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping some of you can help me out something regarding synthesizers a particular band uses. So I'm a huge fan of Neon Trees and if you ever listen to their music, you'll know that they use synthesizers in their songs a lot. They almost sound very similar to The Killers especially throughout their Habits album. There's also a particular synth they use in the intro to the song Girls and Boys In School and I've always wanted to know what it was. If you're not sure what I mean, go check it out. If any of you can help me out with my questions, that would be much appreciated.

In this live video:

There's a Roland Alpha Juno 2 on the top tier and a Korg MicroKorg on the lower tier. The MicroKog has an arpeggiator and the Juno 2 does not, so you're most likely hearing the MK.

Since you mentioned them using same or similar sounds as The Killers, they also use a MicroKorg and a factory preset can be heard on "Somebody Told Me"
