Korg DW8000 Having Issues

Post by KeyboardMike » Sat Jul 25, 2020 2:44 am

When I power on my Korg DW8000, the numbers and the button lights flash once and then nothing. The same goes when powering it off. This was its behavior before I replaced the battery, which I did today.

Does anyone know what causes this behavior? I've had this since 1984 and it is in very good shape - no corrosion, etc. and kept indoors. I have the original patch tapes, but I can't get to the point to load them yet.

Any ideas on what might be wrong.

Thanks!

Check the voltage regulators. They could be fried, which has happened to mine in the past.
