WARNING I’m a complete noob....

Post by Salukis97 » Tue Sep 01, 2020 4:02 am

I have zero experience with synthesizers. I purchased an Akai Professional Miniak at a sight unseen auction. It powers on and I can cycle through programs and whatnot. My noob question is, how do I get it to make sound? I don’t have the proper connections to hook it up to my computer at the moment. But I figured I could plug some headphones into it and at least hear sound. I’m getting nothing, though. Do I need to run it through software on my computer to hear sound? Or did I buy a bum synth? Sorry for the dumb question.
