Although he is best known for his guitar playing, Eddie Van Halen played synths as well.
Rest in peace Eddie Van Halen.

The man that sold a million Oberheims and programmed the most commonly found factory preset in synth history after "Lucky Man"

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Re: Eddie Van Halen is Dead
Read today in his obit that "Jump" was the only #1 song VH ever had. Although at the end he and Roth weren't even speaking to each other, Eddie gave in to the fans who never really accepted Sammy Hagar or Gary Cherone. That's pretty sad, actually. How do you go on stage night after night with someone you don't even want to be standing next to.

Things might have been different if Eddie's Prophet 10 had worked properly. He wrote "Jump" on the Prophet but had a problem with it and also with the replacement P10 he purchased. A friend suggested he get an OBXa and the rest is history.

It's business not a love affair. How many people at work really get on your nerves, insulting, creepy BUT you still have to give them air time. A big (£$£) band will have contractual obligations to fulfill, same deal. I've been in many bands where there's members who dislike me, some get sarcastic, most just block me totally, will just turn away if I try and speak to them, just the way life is, get over it.meatballfulton wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 1:21 pm..snip... I know meatballfulton you're not being smarty pants or anything, just saying, it's business.
Re: Eddie Van Halen is Dead
This was news to me. Eddie Van Halen's dad used the tapping technique long before the band Van Halen existed.
