No big changes in my set-up. Allways a Fender Rhodes Mk1, with a Moog Prodigy on top, a Clavia Nord Stage with an external Leslie, and a Korg Polysix.

Here a shoot during the soundcheck.

Currently, Korg Mono/Poly is my only live synth because it is complicated enough to make a huge variety of sounds, yet simple enough that I can reprogram it very quickly.
Currently have: Baby Grand Piano, B3, CP-30, DX7, Casiotone MT-210, Axxe 1, EPS-1, Promars, MC-202, TR-606
Used to have: POLY-800, TR-505, Techstar TS-306, DX7, ESI-32, Juno-106, DX27, Synthcart, JX-3P, ESQ-M, Mono/Poly, MS2000BR, VX90

Circuit-bent Alesis HR:16B --> Circuit-bent Boss RPS-10 --> mixer --> KC-300
Boss DR-202 --> EHX BassMicroSynth --> mixer --> KC-300

No beats programmed - noisy free improv w/ a guitarist. You can listen to a piece here: myspace.com/spatterface

Cheers,

David

what about your ms2000?
No one cares, no one sympathizes,
so you just stay home and play synthesizers.

I've pared it down to this! Still too many pedals :shock:

-Novation K Station> dd6 delay>OD2 overdrive> mixer
-Yamaha CS01>Murf>pds8000 delay> mixer
-Matsumoku SG>FX17 filter wah>CS3 comp>DM3 delay>Murf>mixer
..........................................................................>Fender 112
-Mac running Ableton Live 6 for backing tracks/percussion

Mixer>Loopstation
.......>Spring Reverb
.......>House PA

I do a solo live looping and part play over the laptop set usually running 20-25min.
Would love to dump the lappy, but drums and bass are hard to loop and I hate dealing w/ sync ish.
Will be doing some shows over the winter after a recording hiatus, God i want an f-ing Echoplex looper....
sell me your KS5!

I have really never used the MS2000 except for vocoding, which I don't do live. I don't know why.

Currently rehearsing with just a Wurlitzer 200 and a Pro One...Definitely enjoy the challenge of programming various basses, leads, and effects on the fly. Really allows me to understand the Pro One inside and out, which has maybe become my fave all-time mono for its sheer versatility. Use a Carbon Copy with that and a Small Stone with the Wurly. Dig using a more simplistic set-up, as opposed to when I used to lug around 5, 6 keyboards. With that being said, I might add either my Minimoog to the set-up, for shits and giggles, or an AX-80, for some John Connor terminator phunck. Lead singer will probably do some Solina comping, and two MPC2000xl's with various percussion and 808/909 samples, etc. will be employed to complement live drums. Rest of the line-up is electric violin, upright bass, and acoustic/electric guitar (sparse), african groud banjo, and mandolin.

that sounds like a waste of synth power...

i'd gig that ms2000 before i gigged any other pieces of your gear

especially considering how much more flexible it is than your mono poly, and it has patch memory

just a thought
