I got a Korg ESX sampler coming in the mail, and I'm going to load vintage drum machine samples. Plus I've made samples of my old Boss DR-202, Zoom SB-246 "great hip hop", and Korg EM-1. Anyone have MC-505, 307, or some AWESOME JoMoX samples? I'll trade you! I've got Gigs of dj samples and old drum machines. I'm digitaljosh@sbcglobal.net

For a while was using a Sound Master SR-88.

Image

Nice using the CLOCK out to step the Evolver's sequencer and the SQ cymbal out to trigger an Amdek PCK-100. Or vice versa.

Image

I like the way the A/B two-part pattern simplicity of those old BOSS style drum boxes imposes severe limits on structure. Means just about anything you do on it becomes relentlessly mantric and insistent. Of course you can flip the pattern knob while it plays too if you really need more variation  ;)

how..unusual.. :) love it tho, happy to see people using stuff like that :) any sound demos of the two?

as for drums, My ESX does the dirty work, MC808 for filling out what the ESX won't cut. My ER-1 is not much used theese days, mostly because I'm trying to use fewer machines to save space and make it easier to do live shows. Hpoefully, I'll be able to pull live shows with just my ESX, MC808 and maybe the Microkorg or my pedals for live tweaking

I'm using an xbase09 and an ER-1mkII. I'm itching for a Vermona DRM1mkIII though plus I'd also like to trade my ER for an EM-1! Anyone, Anyone?

Elektron Machinedrum UW MKII... don't need anything else until the Linndrum II Analog Edition hits the shelves.

Yeah I'll find something and upload it.

For now I've moved on to using a Korg ES-1mkII for writing and live stuff. Got samples of the SR-88 in there. There's some nice free REX files here by the way: http://www.dubsounds.com/sr-88.htm

Usually do quite a bit of stuff in software as well. Can't talk about that here though. ;)

I think I'd quite like an SPS-1 MKII UW. :)

Hey that's one of those things that's supposed to induce some sort of trip, right? What's that thing called? Does it work?

Anyway, currently I'm using a Boss DR-110, Yamaha MR-10, Siel MDP-40, and a Korg ES-1. I also use Simmons SDS-9 and Trixer. My ER-1 is currently out of the loop.
so what do I put down here now?

drum machines i own:korg er-1,korg ddd-1, boss dr-880, korg sp-120, roland tr-727, kawai r100, yamaha rx-5, rhythmace, SCI drumtraks, mrx something, etc.

for industrial music, i love the kawai r-100. it gets that perfect kick and snare sound for skinny puppy style stuff. i also like using the er-1 to sequence all my older stuff because its so easy to do. for industrial beats, i also like running some of the drum machines through my desktop evolver. the dr-880 is good for standard lots of noises and has built in effects and whatnot. the drumtraks is perfect for 80's stuff. what i really want to get is the new DSI drum machine
