over twenty years ago.
made some cool albums some even other people paid to get made vinyl even on some cool labels and some fun music for just me.
its been a fun time for sure. i dont realy get too overly into the extreme details of what sounds like what.
my first synth tho wasnt realy anything special it was a sk1 not realy a synth. i didnt start anything in terms of recording them until the last seven years.i sometimes think about selling them all but thats only when i am frustrated with being so broke from buying them all.

My first was my Poly-800. I bought it last year from my friend's dad. I first took up the synth while I was in a new wave band with this friend. It was a good synth for me until the 9v input came off the board at a show. Just this week I finally got it in to be fixed. This synth really got me into synths and now I'm crazy about them. I doubt I'll ever be able to sell any of my synths that I get.
Currently have: Baby Grand Piano, B3, CP-30, DX7, Casiotone MT-210, Axxe 1, EPS-1, Promars, MC-202, TR-606
Used to have: POLY-800, TR-505, Techstar TS-306, DX7, ESI-32, Juno-106, DX27, Synthcart, JX-3P, ESQ-M, Mono/Poly, MS2000BR, VX90

i put 5 cuz it hasn't been 10 yet. but i believe it was 1999 i got a juno 106. i don't remember why i sold it
it was mint. my next was an sh-101, which i sold and next was a sh-09. i sold the sh-09 to get an sh-101 again. then i bought the poly-800 mkii. all this time i've wanted a moog prodigy. don't ask me why i know it's not the beat-all synth, but i like it. i'm working on adding one to the setup.

My first "Synth" was a Casio MT-68 (and by "Synth", I mean totally electronic keyboard). I'd wanted a Realistic Concertmate MG-1 and a Korg MS-20 for about 3-4 years beforehand, but my parents' budget couldn't stretch to either... (I still remember the Tandy / Radio Shack catalogue ad for the MG-1 - it had a primitive cartoon / pencil line drawing of an "Artiste" who looked not unlike Elton John, playing a generic keyboard, and some spiel about "That Moog Sound"
The first actual "Synth" I owned (and by "Synth" I mean a totally electronic keyboard that I could make my own sounds with), was a Korg Poly 800 - I bought it with an unemployment benefit check (from a store in Romford, Essex, UK), after months of saving. I went to the store to buy a Yamaha DX100 (for £100), that I'd reserved by phone, and they'd sold it to someone else by the time I got there... However, they had a GOOD salesman, and he persuaded me to spend my hard earned welfare on the Poly 800 for £5 less... And it rocked.
Topically, I just bought my third for $50, and finally did the filter mod. And it now does things that I never realised were possible, 13 years ago..!
Always knew there was something cool about the Poly 800..!
BTW - back when I first lusted after an MG-1, my hero was Bruno on "Fame" - and I couldn't even PLAY keyboards then...

My first synth was a surprise gift from my mother in 1985... a brand new Roland Juno 106.

My first was an Ensoniq VFX-SD when I was 15 or 16. I was grossly disappointed at the time as I knew nothing about synths (what do you mean I need more than one synth to make music? You try'in to play me??"). Now I'm kinda curious to get one again and see what I can do with it. After that a K2000 (which I still own and pamper), then a virus a , then a....ton of s**t, most of which I regret selling, but I'm satisfied with what I have now

Whenever people agree with me I tend to feel I must be wrong.
1995 Juno 60
A christmas gift from my girlfriend at the time
i picked it out at a guitar center it was so cool I had never messed with an analog synth
I was always into heavy rock, no synths for me, only guitars.
I still have it, but it had been in storage for the last 8 years or so until my recent synth
