The Micro-Q has "up to 25 voices" depending on the complexity of the patch.

No, it means it works the same way the Q+ and MicroQ have worked for years - complex patches reduce your polyphony. With a simple patch, you'll have 25 voices. The MicroQ was expandable to a point that would give 75 for a simple patch; the Q+ was always "up to 100." Just like the current Virus TI is "up to 80" for polyphony, but in practice is less.Did anyone catch the part where it says UP TO 25 VOICES?
I take that to mean to get 25 voices you will have to pay more to expand it.

Thanks guys I appreciate you clarifying that. I guess I was having flashbacks of the XTK voice expansion update.
Whenever I see the words up to in a manufacturer's literature I start to read the fine print a bit closer.
At any rate I miss my XTK and it's unique sound. This looks like it could fill the void and find a place in my studio.
James I've been following your website for some time during all the different incarnations of my studio and wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the information you provide on your site and on the various forums.

Gosh!
I do it all because people find it helpful and I'm glad many people have similar interests. Thanks!
I need to get cracking on my Wavetable Page again - now it applies to the Blofeld too

i'll definitely be picking up one of these to go with my two nords!
I'm looking forward to having Microwave/XT Wavetables again. I once had an XT, and I sold it. I didnt have the attention span back then to learn it, and could never get anything useful out of it.
That "pickup" demo was great, I wish more synth demos were noisy like that!
p.s. yeah i dont see any dimensions listed either, but it cant be too big

I think so. It looks like all the wavetables on the Blofeld will be 128 waves long.sequence wrote:And james whats this upper wavetable from the ppg being included? can U explain that?
The two wavetables from the Q/Micro-Q are already 128 waves long.
However, the Microwave XT tables are only half that size, being 64 waves long, so wavetable positions 65-128 on all the XT wavetables are filled with the "Upper Wavetable", basicaly an "extra" wavetable available at the upper region of all the regular wavetables. The Upper Wavetable has the same waves in all the XT tables...adding a little extra flexibility just as it did on the original PPG Wave. I hope that explains it a bit.
As each Waldorf wavetable synth came out they added to the already existing wavetables so the XT and now Blofeld have all the wavetables going all the way back to Wolfgang Palm's original Wave synthesizer...somewhere along the way the Upper Wavetable was discarded. Now it's back

Combining the Upper Wavetable with the XT tables and the PPG filter is bound to produce some very nostalgic PPG-type timbres!

Best Regards, James

Here's some quick one-offs of some of my tables. Once swept, once with a single trigger looping wave envelope modulating the position whist an arpeggio runs.
