Yamaha DX-11 - quick question

Does the DX11 automatically transmit aftertouch and velocity?

According to the manual, it transmits velocity, and aftertouch, if the "aftertouch switch" is on.

Regarding Velocity, the DX-11 is one of the few synths that has the excellent feature, fixed velocity. This means that you can set the keyboards outputvelocity to any value between 0 and 127.

Very nice when using it to program external sequencers.

thanks guys, but does it have VARIABLE velocity? and where do i find the fixed velocity setting if you know offhand?

Of course it has Variable as in in normal velocity. I can´t remember where you´ll find the parameter, it´s been ages since I had an DX-11.

dl the manual or better still, clean your glasses and read what´s written on the panel !!

When I quickly hooked my DX11 up to an MKS70 about a year ago, I didn't do anything special and it was transmitting velocity and AT. In fact, the AT worked far better than that of a JX10 at this point...
