1 Poly ANDROMEDA real analog, knobs galore...i'd never ever tire of it
2 Mono MEK this is the hard one...so many choices...i'd likely change my mind daily on this part
3 Drum machine MACHINEDRUM elektron is the coolest company..so quirky
4 Sequencer RM1X i love yamaha...i could never have a rig without their stuff..and, this lets me squeak in some extra sounds in the guise of a sequencer
5 Wild card NORD C1...what, like i wasn't gonna have a ultra lightweight hammond clone in my rig?
that's not dirt, that's chili sauce!

1 Yamah CS-80
2 MOOG Minimoog Model D
3 Roland TR-8080
4 Doepfer MAQ16/3
5 Roland Jupiter-8 / ELKA Synthex / Oberheim 8-Voice (can't choose)

Or - if money would be no problem - a giant expanded MOOG Modular System III (but modular systems were not allowed...). And for a small modular setup (in a small briefcase) I'd choose the EMS Synthi AKS.
DotCom Modular * ARP 2600 * Elka Synthex * EML PolyBox * EMS Synthi AKS * MOOG Minimoog Model D, Memorymoog * Kurzweil PC88 * Oberheim SEM * Roland Jupiter-8, JP-8080, Juno-60, TR808, TB303, MKS50, RE301, SDE330, SRV330 * Yamaha CS0 * see THM on MySpace

What your asking is pretty much my setup

1. Prophet 08
2. Moog LP
3. Machinedrum
4. MPC 1k
5. Kaoss Pad 3 but i would probably choose my laptop (but to keep it fair i would only have recording software (most likely logic) and just effects) or ugh maybe my turntable w/ mixer  i dunno

Hmm... I'm gonna cheat the system a little here, just a little...

Poly: Roland Jupiter-8
Mono: OSCar
Drum machine: Linn LM-1
Sequencer: Fairlight CMI IIx (or a laptop with Cubase 4, I'm not picky)
Wild card: Oberheim OB-X (8-voice)

Now, I'm gonna assume that all these have MIDI. Oh, and that effects and recording facilities are included.

1. Juno 60 - alwayws sounds good
2. Voyager - I had it for a week and I love it.. Bass rox on it. Too expensive to I took it back and bought my ION..
3. TR808 - Had one in 94 but sold it for a lot of money
4. Frostwave sequencer - I saw the demo on this and it's amazing.. Too bad they don't make them anymore because my ION would love it.

Actually, your Ion would not love it. It is a CV sequencer. But, if you get some analog gear, I would highly recommend the sequencer.
