Synth to synth inte-rfacing. Meaning one synth could control another synth with just the keyboard for instance. Also, each synth should give off an internal click or BPM of some kind and be able to send that over whireless, or some kind of cable and another synth can retrigger with the BPM send of the original. The 2 synths will be set up like master and slave....meaning one is the person that tells ya'll the other peons what to do, and the slaves being
little (tiny) worker ants doing nothing, but what their preprogrammed little brains can accomplish in a single day. Synths will start to colonize the underground realms and be sending signals through the dirt. I think i want to cal the interfacing "Colonel IDMI" Named after my
cousin's brother who went to an all boys broadring school with my sister.
cheers
-and don't steal my idea?

Wireless Midi and more compact, user friendly, reliable wireless audio. Just tiny little IR or Bluetooth or whatever suckers that you plug in to whatever, with a little dial on the back to dial in one of a number of preset frequencies. This may exist. I know wireless audio exists, and I've never looked into them, but they always look bulky, ugly, ungainly and expensive.
So yeah- wireless midi.

+1 for no menu diving...
my other wish is a confused tangle of wanting more dope sequencer synths...drum and rhythm machines...
more / better rhythm and drum machines...not a big dream but apparently un-atainable: some kind of box that takes the usability of the Elektron stuff, but marries it with analog goodness...I think the spectralis looks rad, but menu rich, and the 777 impossible to find, and not really drums, but a sick box none the less...I want more drum synths out there...guessing by looking at the number of drum machine posts lately, I am not alone...
I have been saving $$$ for one for half a year...I could buy something tomorrow, but I just don't feel passionate about my options [do I really want to spend close to two grand on the 999?]...at this rate I may wait it out till the boomchik...who knows maybe on the rhythm tip, the future retro mobius and xs will rock my world...

my wish-list:
a new standart for DSP-based synths, like VST but for hardware. Something like Soundart Chameleon did, but better and (hopefully) with common specs for all synth manufacturers.
Combination of analog oscilators/filters with digital ones - like DSI evolver.
Spectralis with big screen or VGA-card (like mv8000). 8-[

I want a massive fm-synth, something like the fm8 in hardware with many knobs, displays and controllers. But I gave up to wait for Yamaha to do it. They have the technology, but no vision what to do with it. Other companies like Roland and Korg have visionary concepts (V-Synth, Oasys), but Yamaha just offers boring workstations, which they sell a lot... For me it's very disappointing though.

An analog groovebox... with userwave capabilities of 8, 12, and 16 bit. 16 tracks of sequencing for drums (10) and synths (6). 64 steps. Built in analog effects. 3 osc. per voice.

As far as pioneering synth design in the digital world goes softsynths have this covered with stuff like Reaktor, Cube, Absynth FM7 tho the potential for format sequencing on the FS1R needs to be explored a little more methinks.
I’d prefer to see more dedicated performance orientated hardware that can manipulate sounds in a fresh unusual way rather than the tired old keyboard and mod wheel. Imagine an analogue style sequencer that uses those LED endless rotary dials like on the Nord 3 that would light up with the correct parameter and flash a different colour when on that step, now that would be very cool. 8)
I’d also like to see a replacement or enhancement to MIDI cos its s**t by today’s standards.
