Scans of Patches from Roland User Group (late 80s/early 90s)

Post by Z » Sat Jul 07, 2007 4:04 am

EDIT:
http://s187.photobucket.com/albums/x30/ ... 20Patches/

I just scanned a bunch of patches from my collection of RUG magazines. There are many patches for MKS-50, MKS-80, Super JX (8p owners can just use one tone at a time) and D-50. There are even a few D-10/20/110, D-70 & JD-800 patches in there. I also scanned a couple of Q&A pages that talked about DIN Sync & S-50 pin configurations.

I've got a bunch of Keyboard, Music Technology & Electronic Musician rags from the same era with patches for others synths (DX, CZ, etc). I'll try to scan them later when I have more time.

Thought I'd share these...

Wow!

Thanks a million. I just picked up a MKS-50 a few days back, and I will go try out the patches.
I bet those JX patches are good as well, almost makes me regret selling off the old JX8p.

Thanks again 8) :D

Haven't seen those charts in a few years.

That's pretty cool :) Almost a shame that I have thousands of D-50 sounds already as sysex files.
But I'll punch in those charts anyway, it's more fun to make sounds than to just load up a new soundbank.

Hm now then to drag the D-50 out from the bottom of the closet.

Yeah, it's cool to watch and listen to a sound evolve from another patch.

I was trying to find the article about Billy Idol's synth guy for the other thread. I couldn't find that issue, so I just started scanning all these. Some of the rags and in pretty bad shape - especially the older ones.

are these still up somewhere? check out a few of the above pages but couldn't see them - sorry if they are on there and I just overlooked them.

Z,

Thanks for posting these. I'm looking forward to trying out the JD-990 & D-50 patches in a few weeks.

I created a folder in my Photobucket just for these RUG scans:
