Korg PS-3100 Prices

First off, let me say I'm sorry for posting this. This type of thread usually makes me roll me eyes as it can easily be researched, but the Korg PS-3100 is far too rare to have any trackable up-to-date online price information. So, does anyone know how much these things typically go for lately? I'd be interested to know about recent sales of the 3200 and 3300 as well. Thanks.

A 3300 is far to rare to say anything about price by evaluating recent sales. Klaus Schulze's old 3300 went for 6-7000 $ and it was in horrible shape. Voice cards missing etc. A crazy Italian sold two  3300s just recently. 4000 euros for one without midi and 4300 euros for one with. I cried that day. :(

This guy has been trying forever to sell a 3200 for 39000 NOK which is about 6800 $!!!

Hard to set a realistic price for such rare gems. Could be a very whealthy man is on the hunt the same time a very reluctant seller is. No telling what they could go for then.
But i'd say 3-4000 $ is realistic for a 3100. Maybe lower.

I know of a private sale of a MIDIed PS3300 in Q4 2006 that went for $15K USD.

Also, I know of a private sale of a MIDIed PS3100 in Q3 2006 that went for $6K USD.

I have no idea if these are the typical prices, but it would not surprise me.

I have tried to track sales of them, too... but haven't seen one sell for a long time. I knew someone who was trying to sell one for $4000 a couple years ago but met with difficulty.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll pull the trigger on the one I was looking at. I'm convinced that it's a wise investment, not that I'm looking for an investment, just that I want to be able to get my money back If the thing doesn't blow my mind like I think it will.

Sorry, Mini. Bloody corporate world has obviously implanted some foreign language into my brain.

That'd be the third and fourth quarters of 2006. So, somewhere in the July-August-September and October-November-December timeframes, respectively.

I got a PS 3100... bargain... found it 4 years ago in a small town in denmark for ~450 pounds!!!

Had to repair it for about 300 pounds.

A few months ago one was for sale for 3,2K pounds.

I think I did quite ok!!!

Those are the only two I've ever seen for sale.

Did I say it is absolutely gorgeous?

Found the post with the mail from the Italian guy with the two 3300s. He also sold a 3100 for 1200 euros. That's quite a remarkable price. Here's the whole mail
After many years spent collecting and taking care of analog vintage
synths, it's time that I call it quit.
Do not have enough time to keep them clean and runnning and enjoy
plying them.
The list is below. At the moment there are more than one unit
available for each synth listed.
Please do not expect closeout prices. I decide to sell but I not
obliged to for financial problems or whatsoever (luckily).
If anyone is interested, please contact me privately:

Yeah. And the 3300s were'nt expensive either. Had he had patience i'm sure he could have got double that.

9500 $ for two 3300s and a 3100. That's what a half decent car costs. And who needs a car ? The public transport where i live is really good.

Wow thats cheap! And totally inconsistent with his other prices. 500 euro less than an OB-XA? Barely one third the price of a memorymoog?
