Why not just put a link to your website as your sig if you want people to know what you have?
.....i have some things that create and sculpt sound.

Instead of wasting your time trying to make other people think your cool because you own such and such synthesizer... why don't you make some music with what you do have and use. The music or even simple sounds will make real synthphiles appreciate your skills and kit far more than a simple list. Which has been made so easy with advent of cut and paste + google.
I'm sure this has been said and said over again.

just do it like me jex!
for example, write the whole list in photoshop, save it as a .jpg / .gif / what ever and put the Image in your signature!

easiest way out
Elektron MnM & MD UW, DSI MEK & Prophet REV2 16 Voices baby!, Ensoniq VFX & ESQ-1, SE-1X, Korg MS-20mini, Polysix, SH-101 (red), 707, CR-8000, KPR-77, PO-12, Yamaha C1 Music Computer, Synare PS-1, FX, mixers, some more stuff..

That's why I haven't bothered to put my equipment list in my sig. I've almost got my studio put (back) together, so I can start writing soon. Hard to give music much attention when I run a furniture business and raise 2 sons. I'm sure many of you out there can understand.

There is a 255 character limit in the signature.
I need a lot more than 255 character to do that.
What am I supposed to do now? Can anybody solve this problem?
And if not, why must I be the one whose gearlist will not see the daylight.
I want to participate in the community and enlist my gear list.
My Polysix... my Juno-60... my ARP_insert desired number here_, etc ... nothing new, nevertheless it's still unfair!
Easy, you list some of it but don't list it all. That was my solution at least.

Organize them by brand listing the brand name once? Short forms?

Roland: J-60,J-106
Korg: P-6,MP-4 etc.........

If that doesn't work, you have a lot of synths

Hey Jexus - wouldn't it be quicker to list what you haven't got?

Hageir's solution is probably your best bet.
I didn't get where I am today by posting on internet forums.

anyone that NEEDS to know.... already knows you've got massive kit, Jex.
I wouldn't worry about it a bit.
I stopped listing all my kit because it's a little austentatious and promotes fan-boy behavior (gear worship), which i feel is unmusical and just tacky.
Plus, i don't have much "vintage" gear, but several modern analogs and i like to keep the focus of this site on vintage analog where it mostly belongs.
Yeah, I have a very rare 777 and a limited (1,500) Moog LP etc. but I'm not gonna advertise the fact, it's just kinda rude, imho.

Jex, you crack me up.

Just put some nonsenseicalistic term for your sig. like ~Areola b**b~ = the coolest synth with the best knobs in the universe!

Or you could just type it all out in the text field everytime too.

This is exactly the way I feel. I don't have anything to brag about. Not that I would anyway. I don't see the point in putting gear up on a proverbial pedestal; for that anything or anyone.

Or it might be of help for those who is looking for answers. I have gotten tons of PM's from people asking about gear I own/owned. And I am glad they did as VSE don't need a higher number of new threads a day than it has already got.
