EXUBERANT CONSUMERISM
Is it a fishing for ideas for future products without paying a market research firm??
I guess sequencer. They don't make a standalone one and they'll need some lower-budget thing to test potential boomchick engine designs in real world.

If I wanted to do some market research, I'd just ask what people thought directly - I wouldn't go through a convoluted exercise like this to get it.

I'm guessing that Linn would be in charge of the Boomchick's sequencer since that's what he's known for.desdinova wrote:I guess sequencer. They don't make a standalone one and they'll need some lower-budget thing to test potential boomchick engine designs in real world.
An analog style sequencer would be nice, though.
I've re-read the thread as DB suggested, but I guess my brain is too tired. I'll give it another look tomorrow with a clear head unless someone's figured it out by then.
DB, is it something someone here has guessed or is it something hidden in your posts?

i would love to see this. a hardware sequencer that was well matched to the evolver & designed to take advantage of it's modulation capabilities.desdinova wrote: I guess sequencer. My friend with close ties to a reputable internet musical instrument dealer told me that there were rumors of an 8 voice (or something > 4 voices) PEK being developed.
But who knows. He also said that there were rumors of a Studio Electronics (probably a CODE) keyboard being developed as well....

I'll bet its the same 'voice' that is going to go into the Boom Chica, without Roger Linns beat box side...
I'd also like to propose the name 'Boom Chica'.

dB, I'd say it read more like something that someone had actually figured out, rather than a random guess. Would you concur, doctor?Z wrote:I've re-read the thread as DB suggested, but I guess my brain is too tired.
