OK....Something just happened that has propelled the Access Virus into the title of GREATEST SYNTH EVER.

Call me stupid, but I have just now discovered the Random Patch Function. This function is EFFING BRILLIANT! Pure genius...

The Access Virus has now surpassed all of my other synths for the time being...

Synths I just :love9:

Nothing vintage or analog, as I havent any unfortunatly but:

1) I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Z1.

From a programming p.o.v. its just so bonkers and deep.

2) The MS2000- the interface is just so well thought out. Despite being a relatively simple synth, theres something about the interface that makes it a joy to use. I always surprise myself with the sounds it can create- not, I think as a result of the engine, but rather the layout and functionality of the knobs and switches. This seems to drive an interaction with it that brings home the bacon in terms of creativity and interesting surprises.

I sold a keyboard version and replaced it with the rack to save space and it just doesnt have the same attraction. The keyboard version just had a great vibe and, at the risk of sounding a bit daft, I just wanted to hug it I loved it so much.

3) Waldorf XT/XTk

Because its so unique, and makes the best broken radio emulation known to humanity :D

I love my desktop evolver. Twas my first hardware synth, and still excites me to no end whenever I toy around with it. I like its grittiness, quirkiness, flexibility, and depth.

It's one of the few things I own that I'm really proud of.

Currently it's in the hands of a band mate. And I want it back, gosh durn it!

mine's not really a synth per se, but my eowave spacebug is the most lovable little piece of kit. i twiddle with the space, regen, and delay time knobs... and get some fun sounds out of it. (and kill my monitors damn!)

Access Virus Kb. Just got it a few days ago, and love it. Wow!! I actually find it easier to navigate than my NL3 which I recently sold!!! Love that synth, random patch generator and all. Great dark tones, reminds me a lot of a well polished An1x...

I love my Pro One and my 777. Both are raw and heavy by nature but can be tamed quite nicely.

another MS-2000 addict.

despite it's flaws, i've never met a digital synth that is so charming, useful and encouraging to play around with.

mine's got a busted power jack so i'm experiencing some withdrawl symptoms

i would say im in love with all the gear i own. i believe you have to be that way to keep producing time and time again.

if i dont love it... i sell it to buy another.

but my absolute fav. would have to be my Roland Juno60, she's my baby.
anything synthesized

MS2000

I really love all mine, but that MS is kickass. I have seriously altered almost every preloaded patch and it was nearly brainless. And the keybed is nice.

The best keybed I ever found is my VFX. We should have a poll on that alone.

I think I will change my mind when I get my "last" synth which is either a Poly Evolver or a LP.

I know the DSI is more dough, but it seems to do much more than the LP or the Voyager.

I'm in love with my Ion right now but when I was at the GUitar Center, I wanted to cheat off to the Moog Voyager. THe bass tone is similar to my Ion but the flashing blue lights makes me want to hump it.
