Man oh man oh man oh man! However, I made a rather unfair trade with uh, ahem.....Guitar Center :roll:. I...traded....my.....PEK! Yep, I've been pondering it for some time and I finally did it. Do I regret it? Not at all.

There were a couple things that I didn't care for on the PEK but I think it really was the tone and filter that just didn't cut it for me. It really is a phenominal instrument but as you said, it just wasn't for me.

From what I played of the MEK I didn't really like the tone either. Everybody's different.

One thing though - was it a Stage or a Tribute that you traded for?

The going rate for a used PEK is around $1700-$1800 if you can even find a bidder right now with all the P8 hype. so it's not really THAT bad... just a little...

I'm sorry, but losing $500-600 due to laziness / gas cannot be justified...no matter how you look at it....IMHO. However, it is shanes loot, so... no big deal.

And some could say the same about the money you lost on the sale of the Voyager. ;)

He bought an expensive synth and decided it wasn't for him and so swapped it for another that is. Nobody said you were crazy to go out and spend a lot of money on an item that you didn't really want at the end of the day.

Everyone goes in over their head and makes mistakes from time to time - we are only human after all. :)

You can't look at it monetarily, imo, although thats not easy to dismiss if you are short on cash!

He got the instrument he wanted and thats what matters.

I buy and sell synths like crazy and I often take a small hit when I do. Over the years I've lost thousands due to buying and selling. But, I just consider that the cost of my hobby. Whatever loss I take, I consider that the cost of ownership for the time I had it.
