Well, maybe an updated version in this style (and no not the MEK).

I love that synth and that pic... It would go great in my space-station.

It would seem an obvious and awesome business move to make a P1 to perhaps end 2008... but he's such a maverick so who knows - I'm hoping now that he and Linn's recent personal projects are in the can they return to the boom after a holiday!

If the 08 does as well as some have speculated than I'd say anything is possible.

Honestly I don't care what it looks like really, but if DSI were to make a new mono like the Pro-One... woowee, I'm ready.

I would pay $249.87 for it in a heartbeat! Well, if it is black.

Looks nice, but I would prefer darker wood, say Mahogany.

And I would like the white keys made from ivory & the black from ebony.

(only kidding Elephant lovers).

When I first saw that on Matrixsynth my initial thought was how much cooler it would look with a dark mocha stained wood case to really set off the white panels. Too bad a working Pro-One will set you back $600-$800 than the case is like $350 and not sure how much the white vinyl panel set costs but I think you'd be more into your pro-one than you could sell it for.

I'd seriously consider a new P'08 based mono if the price was right. Considering what you get out of the p'08 for the money I don't know why they wouldn't be able to do a smaller mono with a shorter scale like the pro one and keep the price reasonable. The closer you get to and excede $1000 the more you might as well either save up and get all the voices of the P'08 or buy a pro-one and have the extra cash for upgrades. I imagine it would be a bit of a tightrope balancing cost, features, etc. on a modern mono that is meant to be a new interpretation of a past synth like the P'08 is.

One idea is a better desktop mono '08. A lot of people seem turned of by the DEVO's interface which has stopped me from getting one. Perhaps if they made a larger, knobbier interface that imitated the controls of a mono or even poly p'08 without the keys, wheels, etc. They could hit a really atractive pricepoint.

looks great, but i don't think DSI wouldmakenew pro-one. They already have monosynth- MEK. But probably DSI'd make mono prophet. Looking at MEK and PEK i think this could be possible)
