best piano, organ combo keyboard

Post by Le_Blowen » Mon Sep 17, 2007 4:16 am

so ive been looking at the nord electro 2 and its basically perfect butttt the one regular piano sound is kind of lame. thus making it hard for me to shell out 1000+ for this thing. is there anything else that anyone can reccomend that has good quality pianos, wurlys, rhodes, organs that have decent onboard effects for a good price. i dont have very good knowledge when it comes to romplers. i do love the tone of the electro but then again its the only board ive really given a chance. maaybe there is a lot better stuff out there?

love bowen

Motif is a really great board for this, and you can always get a sampleset (or PLG-150AP piano board) if you feel it's missing something.

I agree on the Motif. A used Motif ES6 can be found without much effort at all for $800 or sometimes less. It does a good job at the things you are interested in plus a lot more.

I agree on the roland but you may also want to try the Native Instruments B4, I think you can try a free demo because it's a great organ piece.
