Sequential Circuits Pro-8, Rolands TB-303, MKS-80, JX-8P, SH-09. Waldorfs Microwave XT, Pulse. Yamahas RS7000, A4000, DX-200. 2 x Cheetah MS-6. Novations Supernova 1 & 2. Korg ER-1. Creamware Pulsar 2.
Funny 3am trivia:
I usually listen to black metal and various other dark styles of music but when I first heard The Robots a couple of months ago, that was the first time a song had spooked me good and proper.
I couldn't fathom how humans could write something so robotic!
Now there's something you can tell your grandkids...

Yes, kraftwerk is shocking the first time you hear them. I actually got into them by hearing Harry p***y do a cover of Showroom Dummies. HP is a noise duo and it was the only song on the HP CD that resembled a song to me...so it stuck out. Then I was looking through used records and found TEE and saw Showroom Dummies...bought it, listened, fell in love with Kraftwerk and bought all the rest of their albums within a month. It was last time I was really blown away by someones sound. I keep finding plenty of good music, but not on that level ie history, sound, weirdness, the whole package.Arddhu wrote:Funny 3am trivia:

Back in 1982 my brother brought home Trans Europe Express from the public library. I was 7. The cover scared me. They looked like mannequins to me. And the music was even scarier to me. "The Hall of Mirrors" especially. After that I began to have nightmares that the knots in the closet door (they were oak) were actually camera holes and Florian Schneider was watching me at night. So we had to keep the closet doors open at night for awhile after that! Then there was the other nightmare that Florian Schneider was swimming in my neighbor's swimming pool in a tuxedo.
You could say Kraftwerk has had a very profound effect upon me from pretty much the beginning! For me they are the alpha and the omega of electronic pop.
