value of Yamaha CP-30?

Post by celebutante » Wed Nov 07, 2007 10:31 pm

I have one in pretty nice shape (the tolex on the covers/"stand" is a little beat up, but the piano itself is in nice shape). It plays great.

Any ideas on what I outta try and sell this beast for?

thanks,

mitchell

Typically between $300 and $500 is the usual price. I sold my old one for about $300

I just got one last week for $26. The only problem is that the treble and bass knobs don't move. I don't think this is a typical price. Ebay is great. :)

congratulation for your very low price CP synthazaiser !
I love my CP30 (I've got a CP70 too),
but it has issues in the meddle of the keyboard. I've cleaned the contacts, but the problem seems elsewhere.
By chance, does someone have the schematics for the CP30 ? (not found on the net)

Shitballs...I picked up a perfect one up for $50 a while back...

...and it came with a free Crumar Orchestrator with all pedals and a 250 watt Yamaha keyboard amp.

It's a cool rig for certain things. I'm not certain I'll keep it but it's certainly easy on the eyes.

I've debated whether to keep it- it's fun. But I have only one "spot" in my rig for a main keyboard, and I'm getting tired of reaching up for the Triton above it every time I need the newfangled MIDI! I bet I could buy a MIDI kit for it from Kenton for like, $9000 (which would probably be $18,000 with the c**p exchange rate :>)

Your loss. You did just see that one went for over $1,000 on Ebay now... Granted thats not a typical price, but $300 is certainly a good one. You could've probably doubled your money if you tried...

Count me as surprised the CP30 is selling for money like that. Is some hot young act I don't know about using one?

Sorry, I got mixed up. I was thinking YC-30. That being said though the CP-30 is a fantastic electric piano. They are cheap on Ebay, but the shipping is where it hurts.

Here is my old CP-30 (w/delay & reverb):

Does anyone else who owns a CP-30 tell me the amps for the fuse? Mine blew during a storm, and when I went to get another, the amps on the old fuse were unmarked.

Well, y'know, people heard I was using one and the next day the value went through the roof '8)'

But yeah, you kinda have to sell 'em locally; I can't imagine how much it would cost to ship the bastard... likely more than the price of the whole synth.
