Still have my Ensoniq ESQ-1. I like it way too much to sell it, and doing so wouldn't be worth the tiny sum I'd get for it anyway.

Alesis Micron.

I sold it when I got my Alesis Fusion... Now I don't have the Fusion anymore and kinda miss it... It's a nice little machine for leads and bells, and tiny, so it's perfect as a little synth in a band where your main job is vocals.

Couldn't answer the poll because there's no "Sort of" option available :? My first synth was a Roland Juno 6 (purchased over 20 years ago) which I had for many years. I even kept it when I bought the Juno 60. But when I moved into a unit, there was no room for the 6 so I ended up selling it. I still have the 60 (which will never leave me) so in essence, I still have my first synth - sort of :)

I still have my Poly-800. I often think of selling it, but then I turn it on again and come up with something new. I won't sell it until I have another analog (sorta) polysynth (the mono/poly doesn't have useful polyphony), another sequencer, and another keyboard with MIDI.
Currently have: Baby Grand Piano, B3, CP-30, DX7, Casiotone MT-210, Axxe 1, EPS-1, Promars, MC-202, TR-606
Used to have: POLY-800, TR-505, Techstar TS-306, DX7, ESI-32, Juno-106, DX27, Synthcart, JX-3P, ESQ-M, Mono/Poly, MS2000BR, VX90

I guess the PSS-570 counts as a synth, since you can create your own patches with it. Bought it in 2005 at a pawn shop, still have it, don't plan on getting rid of it.

I had a few synths back about 7-8 years ago...MC-202, Yamaha CS01, Novation Bassstation...made some noise... but didn't know how to use them and decided to go all software to learn how to make music. Once I wanted hardware again...I bought an Elektron Monomachine...which I still have.

My first was a Casio VL-5. Stolen at a show... My first "real synth" was a Roland MC-202. Sold it to fund a Machinedrum ... have thought of rebuying it, .. but I can't justify getting one because I just want the sequencer.

My First was a Juno-6 which I got in 1985. I sold it in 2004 then got a Juno-60. I still have my second synth, a Korg DSS-1 Sampler from 1987. Both that and the 60 are in my closet for safe keeping.

Dx21. i still have it. occasionally used for sound sculpting, it usually sits in a bag in my closet with frequent appearances on craigslist.

novation k-station. first synth i really used. i probably won't sell this for a while because of the ease of use, familiarity, and patches i have saved. and thus started the small...

My first was the MS-2000 which I barely used as I was still more into guitar at the time. Sold it and didn't bother with synths until a while later. Later I got an ESQ-1 and it snowballed from there. I don't have either now, I would consider having either again but they are very low on my list of priorities.
