Sounds from an Oberheim OB-X

Post by hfinn » Wed Nov 14, 2007 3:27 am

I was playing around with my OB-X and recorded what some of the presets sounded like through some reverb and delay.

I started wanting an Obie as a result of Bill Wolfer's post. This post isn't helping my synth lust.

Any specific reverb and delay? It sounds quite nice. God bless the Obie resonant sound, nothing even comes close.

Cool demo! I have a DFX-12 and don't really like the internal effects so I bought a TC Electronic M350 processor which didn't really do much better quite honestly...
I like vintage synths....

No one cares, no one sympathizes,
so you just stay home and play synthesizers.

There are just NO Oberheim synths for sale where I live. I would pay for it!

Thanks for posting that demo, hfinn :D

I simply love the fat and organic sound of them old Obies.

Ahh, I so envy you! So is it the 4, 6, or 8 voice? Great demo, most of it was very melodic and relaxing. You should consider producing a line of stress reliever CD's. :)

For some reason I was expecting you to go into a "Jump" number. :P

So lucky! Did you get it when it was new? It looks to be in excellent shape.
