Analogue mono's with Sub Osc

Post by jasedee » Fri Nov 23, 2007 5:56 am

I was at a friends house the other day and had a play on his Roland SH-2, and was blown away by it's super thick bass sounds. I was wandering what other mono synths out there also have a Sub Osc???

Cheers!

I think and feel the Roland SH-2 is as good at bass as any other synth - which is to say it is stellar in that application.

cheers,
Ian

Also don't sleep on synths where you can have multiple waveforms at once. This is also good for thick bass and you get around any potential phase problems when mixing two separate oscillators with different waveforms.

Often used that on the Juno 6 and alot of nice bass presets on my ATC-1 use the same thing.

Korg 800DV; not exactly a sub osc, since it's a SAW wave you can mix and scale independently.
So: 2 multi-scale and multi-waveform oscillators, plus 2 scalable "subs"(1 each)!

Huge sounds!

It's a poly though, so it should count really. ;)
