The composer of the soundtrack was Silvestri; however, that does not mean that he composed the trailer score. None of the BTTF motifs run through the trailer music, and the synthesized sounds are nothing like those from the film score. It does not remind me of his work. When I first heard it, "TD" was precisely what I first thought, although it very well could be someone mimicking the style.

Reminds me more of something from the "Firestarter" soundtrack..Mr. Black wrote:Sounds like TD, they were all over feature films in the mid 80's,it's probably some left over piece, sounds like it could have been from Legend if it is even TD.
Legend/ 86 era TD didn't really use much of the repeated sequenced lines you hear in this piece.

My interest in them extends passed the Franke years. I really liked Exit and a couple of the others, but I agree that for me they started to go downhill. I recently picked up Bootleg Tapes Vol1 which is basically 10 variations of Richochet which is interesting. I see they include Arturia's Moog Modular on big screens (well one way to have wallpaper synths).
For some reason Edgar is redoing some classics, like Phaedra and Epsilon. That includes stuffing it with 80s sounding pads and smoothing the roughness of the originals.
