I recall hearing that the AX-73 is basically the same as the VX-90, which I own. While the AX-60 and AX-80 each have different characters. The AX-60 is closer to the VX-90 I own, but still different. They all have a similar character since there'll all Akai, but different still. That's the one thing I really like about the VX, it can be nasty.
