Don't know - thinking of selling my vintage gear

But still im am not too sure about it.
It has now bieng 2 years the last time i used all the stuff.

And a lot of other nice stuff.
Now my question.
What would you do ?
Sell because you dont use it anymore ?
Or just keep it ?
Thanks

In the late 90s I gave up on electronic music for a while, having lost my way, and took up cello about 5 years later (something still needed expression in there...) and then, without warning, in 2005, I started again with the tech stuff. No idea why, it just happened. Before that, I'd considered selling all my stuff a couple of times, but when the desire to use it came back, I was very glad I'd kept it all.
My advice is to wait, unless you absolutely are sure. If there's any uncertainty, or you look at your gear and think "one day, but not yet" then keep it. You'd regret selling up and having to replace it all if you get that resurgence.

I've moved this to 'Buyer's Guide' and changed the thread title as it was a bit cryptic.

I didn't get where I am today by posting on internet forums.

Hey, what did you pay originally for that stuff?
if it was under $1000-$1500 for everything
(yup, those amazing deals happened in the 80's/90's
)
just keep it!
It's totally worth it.
If a lot more (50 million dollars? hehe), and you're not using it, and you could use the money for something else = let someone else in the world make love to your machines
aah I don't know what I'm saying..
but on the other hand, what other nice stuff do you have?

this thread reminds me a bit on my decision and vintage gear. I keep trying to part ways with the vintage stuff and get modernized and keep absolutely failing. I am trying again and I'll see how far I make it. My P5 is for sale to start.
I want to replace it with an A6 instead, perhaps? Maybe? Hopefully?
But I know what will happen, I'll just buy another vintage piece with the monies
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I've been scammed by Proffesor Xavier.
DO NOT deal with this person!
I paid in front for a tr-808, but I never got it. Then he promised me to send back the money and sent me a screenshot to prove it.

As you can see he clearly changed the '900' which shows in the screenshot.
He knew I'm a student and still he just ripped me off for 900 euro's ...
I only have his real name and his bank account number.
The address he provided is on the name of a company in Almere (The Netherlands) and I had to send the money to the bank account of his girlfriend (on the name of Joyce van Zwietering).
If anyone can provide me with more information about this person, please let me know!
Thanks!
