dr-110 with midi & storage - whats closest?

Post by th0mas » Sun Dec 30, 2007 6:14 am

What would be closest to a dr-110 but with midi and better storage? I was sequencing some great stuff on a plane today and then hit some turbulence, and I guess there's a bit of space in the battery compartment because it shorted and i lost 15 patterns :(..

what's my best bet? Anything I'm overlooking? I'm thinking:
tr-707 or 606 (606 is too expensive though i think)
electribe es-1.

TBH I think i'd be happy if someone can just convince me not to get an es-1. It fits the bill but I've owned one and found it lacked the soul I feel in the dr-110.

A TR-606 would be perfect for you.
No midi, but it does have dinsync. Also lacks the nice 110-clap.

The TR-606 is closest, but no midi. You can get a converter though. Also, the TR-707 sounds nothing like the DR-110.
