Nova Musik:

Virus Snow: $1250
Virus Ti Desktop: $1595

But they did keep their promise - "The most affordable Virus TI ever..."

Now am I going to buy it for the looks or will I go for a full TI for just $345 extra?

I'll have one Blofeld please.

This could be very good news for Waldorf.

Wow, the price difference on these synths is huge in the US and Scandinavia. I certainly understand your sentiments when the difference is that small between the Snow and the desktop.

When you call, I'm sure they will give you a deep discount...but they'd need to give me a $500 discount for me to purchase.

£829 for a Access Snow! From (Digital Village)

£850 for a second hand TI (whereever)

£286 for A Waldorf Blofeld! (from Thomann)

The choice is yours!

I really cant believe it if Access keep those high prices...

if these prices are concrete, then that's a real shame. i have never felt that Access' stuff is worth the premium they command, and this doesn't do anything to change that. that's not to say they don't make good stuff, but 1250US for a cut-down, more-or-less knobless VA?

Remember that prices from US cannot be directly compared with EU/Norwegian prices. They are almost half the price over there because the general population earn half of what we do. Everything costs half. Cars, houses, food, synths. We earn alot more per month, and as a result everything costs alot more too. It's all in the value market and inflation.

You wouldn't be able to buy more synths if you lived in USA just because they are half the price from Norway, because you'd only earn half the money working there too.

A lady friend of mine in US was totally shocked when she heard I make over 300,000NOK a year, she thought I had to be rich. But then I told her a regular sized house cost a million..

f**k h**l Access, that's all I can say.

I'd rather get a second-hand desktop TI or a Blofeld, although I'm leaning towards the latter.

All those wanting to have a good old cry please form an orderly line right here. :-({|= :crybaby:

So you don't wanna buy it, who cares? Just pretend they never announced it and go about your daily lives. You wanted something really cheap, you didn't get it, why complain? It doesn't make the synths you've got now work any less, and if you want the Blofeld you can still get it.

Man, internet forums are full of a bunch of babies.
