Moog New Gear Announcements

Post by rivas3 » Mon Jan 14, 2008 3:01 pm

I just got an email from the moog team, i did a quick search around here and only saw a quick mention of it from nadafarms in another post for NAMM, but i thought it deserved its own topic as some folks may have missed its mentions.

"We're flying to Anaheim in the morning. The gear is all packed, the signs and flyers have been printed...

...that means New Gear Announcements are just a few days away.

Keep your eyes on the Moog Music website... www.moogmusic.com

Some amazing new products will be up there soon!

The Moog Team"

as far as speculating what it is, ill leave that to the rest of the crew on here. but i do hope that it will at least be available if not now, in the very near future. something about announcing a new product and then it being a year or more later till its release is bothersome. although i do understand that there are a lot of "smaller" companies in comparison to others. still, i just ultimatley want to see/hear the products in action!

i've done some sleuthing, the moog email says that some dude named Andre Cholmondeley will be demoing the new moog product. a google search revealed that he's a guitar player.... so i think it's a safe bet that it's a guitar product, like a new moogerfooger.

i don't need moog to come out with something cool at this point.... i wasn't turned on by the freqbox but this is the same company that developed the Murf, my favorite box of all time, and i don't need to dip into my savings for some goofy newfangled noisemaking machine....

Now playing: Hood - September Brings the Autumn Dawn
via FoxyTunes
fender rhodes, moog little phatty, moogerfooger mf-103, mf-105, all going into ableton live 6

Would be nice if the moogerfoggers (I hate that f**k name) would be put in standard 19" racks rather then those gargantuan pedals. Kinda like the ol' Ibanez ue400 and ue405 units......

amos is going to be there too!

i wouldn't mind a new moogerfooger but what do you think they would put into a pedal that they haven't already?

It's a phone, with a (excuse me for saying this...) PHAT triangle wave as the signal carrier.

A Mike Adams doll? A guitar version of the piano bar? A ribbon controller? A one-oscillator mini synthesizer? A trout? Fish and Chips?

:D

Didn't they already make an answering machine? Makes sense that they seek to complete their product range
