Congrats!!!

Man, this is one of the only synths I REALLY GAS over.
I keep watching them go by for 15-1900usd on the list, and worry that the day I actually have that much cash floating around they will have stopped being posted... One day I have three checks line up and it will be mine. :P

If only there were more of them floating around...

Hope you have lots of time off to get acquainted! \:D/
sell me your KS5!

oo I forgot to say, congrats man! That must be seriously exiting exploring such an expansive synth
Moog LP + Casio SK1 and MT-75 + tube amp = good tone.

Don't forget to grab the sound banks at the A6 user community forum:

http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-20051.html

and don't forget to upload yours :D

I suggest to FULLY understand the post filters mix knobs. They're the key to understand and master the filters.

okay, so i'm envious and i think i'm going to sell off a bunch of keyboards for the a6 too now. somebody locally is selling one again and said he will hang onto it for me.

my dream setup has always been the a6, a prophet 5, a 101 and an emax sampler, and a 909. why i ended up with a minimoog and other bits of kit, i have no idea. :-/

the a6...is jus' happenin all over the place.

wait few years and the A6 will become a 'classic'.

... and I find a good thing to put a Minimoog next to the A6...

I replied to Stabs comment because I don't like intolerance. And I believe that if you don't hurt or supress anyone with your actions, these actions can not ever be called bad. The quote from George Orwell's Animal Farm in my signature is there for a reason.

Now back to the A6 Andromeda. Allow yourself at least half a year to fully understand this beast. The c(ontrol)routes are placed behind the frontpannel and can cause modulations that will be difficult to get to grips with. The amount of possibilities is staggering, therefore programming it will take some time. It can do good emulations of Moog Oberheim Roland and Korg sounds, something other synths just can't do. So its a jack of all trades. The only real downside is that it doesn't have wavetable synthesis.
Best tip I got: Keep oscillator levels below 16.

Good choice, I bought one at Christmas and really like it.
There are some good soundbanks by Rob Papen etc. here..

If you get a 2mb sram card you can load all five banks, with room to spare for your own creations, as well as mixes.

I still don't have an sram card for my A6. Does anyone know where I can get one from - preferably in the US, and not from ebay.

Congrats on the A6! It definitely seems to be the coolest box around at the moment, and I agree with everyone who says it will one day be one of the "classic synths". I honestly don't know how long it would take me to figure one out, as I had to buy all those Motifator DVDs to get up and running on my Motif  I bet it would be fun though :D

Anyway, I'm happy for you, enjoy her!

Heres an update..

Looks interesting, he will be using the same 2 synths I own (amongst others), an A6 and a synthesizers.com modular which he bought recently.
