DAFT PUNK VOCODER ?

Hi Guys do any of you know which voco daft punk uses? Any pointers would be great thanks!

I remember reading, that they use the Ensoniq DP/4 a lot for phasers, flangers and apparently even for vocoders.

i read somewhere that for Intergalactic they used MAM VF-11 vocoder. not sure though...

can't remember what song it was for,

but someone claimed that the MS2000 was used (+ post-processing) for one of them.

the ensoniq DP vocoder is awesome!!! the vocoder alone is worth the price of a DP.

The vocals in "One More Time" don't originate from a vocoder but from Antares Auto-Tune. See also: the "Cher" effect.

that was the Beastie Boys...

DP also use one of those Roland Variphrase samplers for their vocal effects.....And Im surprised no ones mentioned the Talkbox yet-which is how they did 'around the world' and Harder Better Faster...and Digital Love

Yeah 'One More Time' sounds like Autotune with a vocalist (cant remember his name...)

Since it was originally in the category as an effectpedal for guitars, you can find it among guitarstuff.
The most popular model is the Heil Talk Box from Dunlop.

I don't know if Chromeo have changed Talk Box, but P Thugg used to have a gold painted Heil Talk Box.
Just a note

Anyway they all work in the same way, you just feed it with an external sound like a synth for instance.

Oh yeah he sure uses Rocktron Banshee on stage, he said that in an iterview in October 2007 issue of Future Music magazine.
Here is the quote:
"The talkbox I use on stage is Rocktron Banshee because it has an integrated amplifier. For recording I use a home-made talkbox, which needs a separate amplifier"

So, no Heil Talk Box here 8)

i wonder if that's the gold one then, anyway the Heil talkbox works like the Banshee. An integrated amp.

I think most of their lyrics are too intelligible to come from a talk box personally. I think it's either a vocoder, synth and autotune combo or a vocoder, synth and very clever programming.
