Ok ok fine fine! I'm sorry this has taken soooo long

I just demo'ed the kick. I need someone to host it though. It is a 66MB wav file. It is about two minutes long. It was recorded at 24/96 through my onyx - no eq & no fx.

I ran through all parameters via midi automation in cubase. For the majority of the demo I left the tune, gate (at its shortest), decay (at its maximum), and attack (at its shortest) constant. As the Kick has "10" configurable parameters I was only able to tweak a several parameters at a time given the fact that I didn't want to spend more than an hour doing this.... The last 8 seconds consist of all parameters being tweaked pseudo-randomly.

It starts off with the Tune parameter being modified. Shortly after that there is a decay sweep, followed by a pitch sweep, then a tune & pitch sweep, then..... well, I don't remember what I did for the rest :)

If someone doesn't mind hosting these demos then I'll be glad to work through the rest of the analog instruments. Whoever does this can convert them to mp3 if so desired. (I'm not going to demo the samples, because... they are samples - you can load whatever you want).

If you e-mail me the file I'll convert it to a good quality MP3 and upload it for you.

I found a host organism for my demo. Hopefully it will be posted shortly. I'm going to be traveling to Portland this weekend Thursday so I don't think I'll be able to get to the other demos until I return.

technically those aren't different kits. He is in pattern Mode which can use a different kit on each step. In order to hear different kits clearly, he'd need to be in perform mode and switch the kits using the data encoder on the right.

I own an 888 too. :-)

OK OK... I got this converted and on my webserver a while back but then I lost this thread. Lame, I know... but anyway here's a pile of 888 kicks, courtesy of johans121.

here's some patterns of the 888 in action.

I'm using separate channels for each part.

For these loops there's a filter and a delay send for each sampler part, sometimes the hats also go to the delay and there's a barely noticeable reverb on the snare.

No comps or EQs on the channels. Just a comp in the master bus. Only ableton fx were used.

These were 30 second mixes so it can be made a lot better with more time.

enjoy!

here's another loop of it. all 888 sounds except the pad. processed in ableton too.
