I just bought a JX8p off craigslist for $100,perfect condition guy said it has been sitting in his closet for the past 8 years, only thing that bug's me with this is it's the earlier model key action, which is quite a bit lighter than later one's,these are selling really cheap right now and i think they sound alot better than the Alpha Juno's,106,or JX3p.

Maybe we should specify a little more. Analog, general use, and under 200 (US/Can).

best overall value might be a Sequential Sixtrak - got one recently for $300ish. All analog - 6 voices - generally a good deal, just make sure all 6 3394s are functional.

shiping from Poland isn't cheap but this UNITRA ELTRONIC 109 organ/synth you can find for something about 40$ - 100$
http://www.allegro.pl/item320149879_organy_unitra_.html
it isn't anything spectacular there is bass synth/bass organ section (nice but limited) organ and polysynth section, there is a push buton to change waveform (saw, squere) ant to route ADSR to VCF, VCF is with resonance but its weak, there is one adsr. there is no lfo but there is phaser with three knobs. The sound is maybe weak but strange and unique. If polivoks is soviet minimoog, Eltronic is polish version of yamaha sk series.

Are we considering anything with either a VCA or VCF to be an analog synth then, despite the DCOs?
even Siberia goes through the motions....

no caiso or stuff like that..(no kids toyslol)

not hard just post a synth you like thats cheap...
maybe you should try the search function

that being said, i'd go for a matrix 6 keyboard, or as someone else said, a matrix 1000 with a controller...
Moog Voyager Electric Blue, DSI Polyevolver, Virus TI Polar, Novation KS4

The Novation KS is cheap and has enough features and fine sound to make it a bargain

In electronic music, sequencers are as important as synths, they all modify your composition and playing

even though i've never been too crazy about it, my alpha juno 1 is a pretty good deal for what it costs.

you can get function generators for next to nothing
Moog LP + Casio SK1 and MT-75 + tube amp = good tone.

This on a laptop or PC won't cost you anything.
If you want hardware, Novation KS is great. I got my KS4 keyboard for 230 pounds (incl. shipping) last summer, bargain price for a GREAT synth!
then there's the little brother, XioSynth, probably the cheapest you can get a new synth with a keyboard

with a keyboard, there's also MicroKorg and Alesis Micron
Without a keyboard there's Waldorf Blofeld and dozens more...

if you want vintage, just go and surf eBay until you find something cool, there are too many to list

Life's a b***h, get a f**k helmet!
