juno 6/60 challenge!

Attention juno 6/60 owners!

I'm still getting my head around subtractive synthesis, and i wonder if have explored the full capabilities of my Juno-6. I'd love to hear what other users can do with theirs.
(the 6 and 60 are the same sound correct? the only difference is patch memory?)

So if any Juno users are up for it, i'd love to hear what the most 'evolving' pad sound they can coax from their Juno is.
or if there are some crazy sounds you'd care to show off, lets hear 'em!
(no outboard effects or processing, just pure Juno goodness!)

ps. If the 106 is pretty much the same sound/capabilities aswell, then 106 owners are more than welcome too!

Great idea!

I'm struggling to come up with nice deep strings, so if someone could post some, and tell me how they went about it, that would really help. What effects do you guys use for strings?

I'll put together something, and post it up in a few days!

Interesting thread. Im looking forward to hear something, as I have been thinking about trying to find a Juno-60 for a while now.

Yeah Danny Wolfers music is always full of Juno stuff, but I didn't know about this album.

juno is acting here as sub bass, bass, solo "fluitish-type" sound.

i love my juno, it's just so hard to make a bad sound with it

That's a wonderful sounding album. "Solomon" reminds me a little of the Music For Supermarkets album by Jarre. I'd buy the CD right now.. but unfortunately it seems to be out of stock.

You can tell that those sounds are from a Juno.. well, I recognized most of them. Some caught me by surprise.

I'd like to enter this little competition as well. I just need to configure my new sound card right so I can actually record.

HH- nice one! The flute sound is slick. The piece is called "In the right mood"?
-appropriate title. i could almost picture Barry White telling me its time to luuuuuurve over that tune....

Wow, this album sounds really nice.. the coverart reminds me of the old DOS game Hugo's House of Horrors...

P.S.. It makes me want a Juno for my next synth too

P.P.S.. Any reason why Juno 106 is excluded from your challenge?

I wasnt sure if they are the same sound/capabilities, but it says in the post that if they are, than 106 owners are included!

..so they are pretty much the same?

The 106 isn't as warm and fat as the 6 or 60.

The voices are different and more prone to break on the 106. No arp as well.

If you guys want that cd, just let me know and I'll find some for you.

I really regret selling mine. I had the Roland DCB-midi converter. Here's the one all juno tune I did with it (sorry, doesn't have any evolving pads, but Juno 60 nevertheless)
