Can somebody please explain?

How does the keyboard technology work in my Arp Odyssey? I noticed that it has a long rod that spans the length of the keyboard and each key has its own tine that makes contact with the rod. Is there a resistor on each key resisting electricity in different amounts to get each note or something? I don't really know at all, and I am really curious.

I know what you are talking about, except the rod is more then one, and in sections on my oddy, and some other synths. I think your prob right about the resistors per key, but I don't really know. Just have had a some of my synths apart and the rod or strip as I've called it is more then one key long, so I've no idea, but my theory is basically the same as yours. I don't know the whole of it tho...
