thanks a lot. it was inspired by Croatian ethnic/trad. music. most of it E4, no vsti orchestra libs in those days.

The JD-800 I had sure wasn't fazed in the slightest when quality pads were on the menu - in fact I found it to pull them off with aplomb.

I've found the ESQ-1 to be a fantastic pad machine also.

JD-990 is the pad king within my current setup. Previously, I used a K5000s, K2VXS, and a MicroQ for pads.

Oh yeah, forgot about the K5000s. 1000+ envelopes gives you pretty complex pads.
