I really like the synth on 'With A Little Luck' by Wings. I don't know what it would be though!

Here's a clip with what I suppose is the synth in question:

Sorry friend. Just can't. I'm allergic...

I tried Crystal, and besides taking a huge load on CPU, it does sound nice.
If you don't know what you are doing, why are you doing it?

It's a toss up between the V-Synth GT and EMU P2500/CS

For software, I love Spectrasonics "Atmosphere".

Prophet VS is my fav of all Pad Synths.

There's a VSTi called M42 Nebula by Algo Music that's my fav there.

I'm having the hardest time deciding whether I like the OB-X more than the Jupiter-8 for my favorite pads.

I really like my fantom workstation for pads. You can layer up to 4 oscillators in one patch and you have different ways of chaining the filters. Lots of useful options...

I also like pads from the mc-303. No i'm not kidding. Everybody seems to hate the mc-303 but if you tweak some sounds a bit, they are quite decent.

Last but not least, Ensoniq ESQ-1. Neat filters that are just strong enough but not too much.

IN FLS thers something called "Layer" which I can link several wavforms and VSTS and play them at once.. if I'm stuck using hardware then my JP-8080 makes me super happy =D

i find that Jup8 is awesome for PWM type pads, high silky strings, and brighter pads where filter is doing some sweep work. however, for classic thick cholesterol pads, i feel OB-X is undisputed.
